On May 18th, the 3rd Cuban Youth Dream Presentation Festival took place in Cuba, which established diplomatic relations with South Korea. This year, perhaps due to the diplomatic ties, all 12 participating youths expressed their dreams in Korean, aspiring for more exchanges with South Korea.

Notably, Nam Myung-ho, a director of the My Dream International Foundation, visited Cuba and participated as a judge. Also in attendance to celebrate were Tamara Montes de Oca Fonseca, an academic advisor from the Vedado Department of Education, and Dayileynis Geil Pereira, the principal of Saul Delgado High School.

The 3rd Cuban Youth Dream Presentation Festival featured a total of 20 students, with 12 advancing to the finals after preliminary rounds in April.

First place went to Daniela, who shared her dream of becoming an excellent dancer and an expert in designing AI. Paola, who won second place, was inspired by Korean films and aspires to become a film director. Third place went to Mabel, who dreams of learning multiple languages to become an interpreter and translator.

Additionally, Gretchen expressed her desire to pursue a master's degree at Korea National University of Arts to become a world-class pianist.

The venue, Saul Delgado High School's auditorium, was filled with perspiring students, judges, and many enthusiastic spectators due to the unprecedented global heatwave. Despite the ongoing hot weather and the economic challenges preventing high schools in Cuba from having fans in the classrooms, all 12 participants gave their best in presenting their well-prepared content.

Nam Myung-ho remarked, "Even though it's not their native language, they worked very hard and spoke as if it were their mother tongue, for which I am very grateful." Jeong Hoon, who has attended and judged all three festivals, praised the participants, noting the significant improvement in the skills of the Cuban youths over the years.
